Join Us in Praying for Peace on 7 October

God of Peace,

We pray for all people whose lives are being torn apart by conflict in Gaza, Israel and Lebanon and in all countries where leaders are pursuing their ends militarily.

We pray especially for those who have died, the hostages, those who are grieving, the injured, the uprooted and all who are suffering  without food, water, shelter or medical supplies.

We give thanks for the work of all relief organisations and medical personnel bringing support, aid and comfort, regardless of risk.

We pray particularly for those in governments and positions of authority who have the power to bring peace. May they be moved with the courage, wisdom and compassion to do so.
