2019 Mercy Effect - Women Empowering Women

Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College Alumni gathered for a beautiful afternoon of painting and creating in the grounds of Stormanston, North Sydney.

On Saturday, 28 September, the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney hosted the Sisters of Mercy from Parramatta and the Institute of Australia and Papua New Guinea for a Mercy Day celebration. On this occasion, Catherine McAuley's birthday, 29 September, 1778, was also remembered.

Mercy Through the Generations

Lucia Harper, a current Year 7 student at Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College, is a proud descendant of Sister Madeleine Blazer RSM, a former Monte boarder in the 1920's and renowned Music teacher at the College. Sister Madeleine, together with Sister M Imelda RSM, played a significant role in the development of Monte Music Academy, sharing her musical knowledge and appreciation of music with her students.

A prayer for our common home
